Shedding Light on China's Rich Biodiversity: 'Our National Park' New Season Airs Tomorrow
A trailer of the third season of "Our National Park."
The third season of the acclaimed documentary franchise "Our National Park" will start to air on Dragon TV at 10pm on October 14 weekly with both English and Chinese subtitles.
It is the first documentary franchise in China filmed and produced in 8K ultra-high definition to showcase the country's national parks. Following the first season on Qinghai and the second season on Mount Wuyi, the third season focuses on three of China's first designated national parks – Giant Panda National Park, Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park, and Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park.
In the passing year, director Wang Shuo and his team traveled across China, braving harsh winters and scorching summers to capture the magnificent landscapes, rare wildlife, and inspiring stories at the three national parks.
The series showcases the rich biodiversity of China across different latitudes and longitudes. Filmed through all four seasons, the documentary captures the vast contrasts of the country's natural landscapes, from the snow-clad forests of the northeast to the tropical heat of Hainan, from expansive plains to towering mountains and deep gorges.
The team recorded an abundance of precious natural footage, featuring flagship species from each national park such as giant pandas, gibbons, Amur tigers and leopards, as well as newly discovered species.
The series also explores the intricate relationships among different species. As it depicts, nature is not a collection of isolated individuals, but an interconnected whole. The series reveals how various species are linked and dependent on one another within the ecological chain.
Stories of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature within the national parks are also vividly told. By protecting entire, healthy ecosystems, these parks serve as living examples of how conserving biodiversity and ensuring humanity's sustainable future are deeply interconnected.
