Join Fotografiska Shanghai on July 20 for a playful and imaginative afternoon at the Foto Kids workshop. Inspired by the current exhibition "Too Rich City: The Old White Swan Passenger," this hands-on session invites children (aged 4 and up) to build their own fantastical cityscapes using recycled materials – plastic bits, scrap wood, old toys and more.
Led by artist Zheng Yexu, known for her whimsical "trash creations," the workshop encourages kids to slow down, let go of perfection and explore the joy of making. Whether you come solo or with a parent, you'll dive into materials, find inspiration in the everyday, and leave with two to four "regenerative landscapes" of your own design.
All tools and materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own clean, pre-loved objects to repurpose. Spaces are limited to 10-15 children per session, so be sure to register early.
