Howl Together: Musical fun for dogs at Cadillac Shanghai Concert Hall

Love dogs? Love music? Shanghai's most joyful crossover event is about to hit the stage – and it's made for you and your furry best friend.

On June 14, the Cadillac Shanghai Concert Hall will host a groundbreaking musical experience designed for dogs and their human owners: Howl Together – Musical Fun for Dogs.

For the first time, this historic concert venue opens its doors to canine guests, inviting them to share the joy of live music in a specially curated, pet-friendly setting.

Inspired by the unique emotional bond between people and their pets, this concert features a thoughtfully selected repertoire that spans from classical to contemporary. Every piece is tailored to create a soothing, joyful, and safe sensory experience for dogs.

The performance opens with Arvo Pärt's Für Anna Maria, followed by familiar favorites like Brahms' Lullaby, Bach's Prelude in C Major, and Chopin's Minute Waltz (Valse du petit chien).

Composer Zhu Xuzhi will present an original work titled Companionship, and guest guitarist Fan Ye will join the stage to celebrate the tender love shared between pets and people through music.

Beyond the concert, Howl Together creates a full social experience. The venue will be supervised by trained dog handlers, veterinarians, and pet care staff to ensure a calm and welcoming environment. After the performance, participants are invited to gather for commemorative photos on the grand steps outside the concert hall.

Limited quantities of no-pet observation seats are available. Whether you're a pet lover without a pup, a fan of live music, or simply curious about the joy of a dog-friendly concert, you're welcome to join in the fun and share this playful, heartwarming moment.

Each dog ticket comes with a special "Howl Together Supporter Kit" packed with gifts – one for each pup. And there's more: ticket holders also receive a free day-care experience (worth 299 yuan (US$41.6)) at HolyPawfectDay Pet Park at 610 Hengfeng Rd (恒丰路610号), valid from June 14 to September 13 this year.
