One of the world's leading idol music festivals, the Tokyo Idol Festival, is bringing its acclaimed TIF Asia Tour back to Shanghai this June.
Following the enthusiastic response to its debut last year, the Shanghai stop will once again gather top idol groups from six major cities – Tokyo, Shanghai, Taipei, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Chengdu – for two electrifying days of live performances, fan interaction and cross-cultural excitement.
This year's festival, on June 14 and 15 at the Bandai Namco Shanghai Base, festival will feature a stellar lineup of 28 idol groups. Representing Tokyo are major acts AKB48, @onefive, Arcana Project, CiON and 虹のコンキスタドール (Niji no Conquistador).
From across China, fan-favorites such as 初恋Eternal (Taipei), Primulav (Taipei), StarHoney (Guangzhou), 7SINS (Guangzhou), idolzoo (Chengdu), Ouroboros, and many more will take the stage, showcasing the diversity and energy of Asia's thriving idol scene.
The two-day event promises back-to-back performances, high-energy choreography, dazzling visuals and a shared celebration of idol culture. Performances begin at 12pm each day, with doors open at 11am.
Fans will also be able to catch special guest members of featured groups, including a handpicked lineup from AKB48 as well as others from Niji no Conquistador.
With its mix of rising stars and established names, this is a rare chance for Shanghai audiences to experience the heart of idol music culture up close – and to witness the synergy between Japanese and Chinese idol communities in one dynamic space.
