Legoland Shanghai Resort is scheduled to begin trial operation in June and will officially open to the public in July.
Legoland Shanghai Resort has announced its latest updates, revealing that the construction of the resort is close to completion. The resort is scheduled to begin trial operation in June and will officially open to the public in July.
Limited edition 1st-to-play annual passes and 1st-to-stay hotel packages, which include trial operation tickets and exclusive privileges, including full-year catering and shopping discounts, will go on sale on May 7 at 10am through their official mini program "上海乐高乐园度假区".
Registered members of the resort can purchase them 24 hours in advance.
The resort, designed for families with children aged between 2 to 12 years, features eight themed zones, over 75 interactive facilities, and thousands of LEGO models. Currently, 24 core ride devices are undergoing final testing, ranging from immersive adventure attractions to family-friendly interactive installations.
The highly-anticipated LEGO-themed hotel, which resembles a giant stack of colorful bricks, has also been completed and is ready to offer guests a unique "LEGO Fun Night" experience, allowing them to stay immersed in the imaginative world of LEGO even while they rest.
One of the most anticipated highlights is the world's first LEGO Monkie Kid Live Show, which is now in rehearsal. The show, inspired by the Chinese classic "Journey to the West," combines large-scale puppetry and cutting-edge projection effects to create a visually stunning performance. A 3.7-meter-tall Demon Bull King puppet, operated by three puppeteers, will add to the excitement.

In addition to the highly anticipated grand opening show, the park will present 22 character meet-and-greets and 11 themed performances daily, along with all-day 4D cinema screenings. From close-up interactions with LEGO stars to immersive theatrical experiences, the park offers a full range of joyful entertainment for families with children.
The iconic "MINILAND" is also nearing completion, with over 90 percent of its models installed. More than 36 million LEGO bricks have been used to create a miniature wonderland. Each model is designed with interactive elements and fun stories.
