Pudong airport upgrades travel experience

This summer, international arrivals in Shanghai are on the rise, and Pudong International Airport is welcoming passengers with a renewed experience. As the city's principal gateway, the airport is joining the 2025 Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season under the theme "Easy arrival, enjoyable exploration, delightful shopping".

From stylish pop-ups to first-in-airport dining concepts and smart digital services, the airport is transforming travel time into an elegant and memorable part of the journey.

 

Trendy pop-ups for a memorable journey

A series of limited-time pop-up stores has been introduced to meet the interests of younger travelers:

  • Top Toy pop-up stores (T2 Departure Public Area & Arrival Area)
  • Sanrio pop-up store (T1 International, HK‑Macao‑Taiwan Departure Area)
  • Promotions from Lego, Hasbro, and Chinese National Geography, along with an airport-exclusive gift set from the Palace Museum

Upcoming highlights:

  • 5-minute comic sketch pop-up (S1 Satellite Hall, Gate H132) this week
  • Pokemon pop-up store (T2 Gate D73) next week

Upgraded dining for refined travel

Several first-in-airport restaurants and bakeries are now open, offering travelers new dining options:

  • Sushi Kokorowa, serving freshly prepared premium seafood dishes
  • Le Jardin de Joel Robuchon bakery, offering Michelin-standard pastries
  • 102 House, Cheng Long Hang, Loaf On, and other renowned restaurants are opening airport locations

New rest areas and real-time flight displays make dining and shopping more convenient for travelers.

Convenient services for international guests

Pudong airport continues to enhance service quality and ease of travel for international visitors:

  • Mobile services from China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom
  • Expanded Wifi rental, currency exchange, and convenience stores, including Hudson, Lawson, FamilyMart, 7-Eleven, and EGO
  • "PuLe GO" (浦乐GO) WeChat mini-program, integrating shopping, dining, navigation, and inter-terminal delivery
  • Food delivery robots, operating in T2 international areas from 5 pm to 9 am daily
