A light show at Songze Village
The 2nd Shanghai International Light Festival began recently with a stunning visual feast at several spots throughout the Qingpu District.
Spectacular light shows will be presented through October 11 at Zhujiajiao Water Town, Bailian Outlets (Qingpu), Panlong Tiandi, a renewal and upgrade of the ancient Panlong Town, and Songze Village, among other places.

The event's three tourism routes run east-west through the West Hongqiao Business District, Qingpu New City Central Business District, and the Yangtze River Delta Ecology and Greenery Integration Demonstration Zone Pilot Area, highlighting Qingpu's landmarks.
In major business centers, cultural sites, and parks, light art will be integrated with culture, tourism, and commerce, launching a series of immersive activities to paint a poetic picture.
At Songze Village, known as the "root" of Shanghai, where some of the city's "firsts" were discovered, including the first well and the first village, there will be an immersive forest interactive show and the "Civilization Scroll" projection show.
