To further facilitate travel and exchanges between Chinese and foreign nationals, China has decided to expand the list of visa-exempt countries.
From September 15, 2025, to September 14, 2026, Russian citizens holding ordinary passports will be allowed to enter China without a visa on a trial basis.
Russian nationals with ordinary passports may visit China for business, tourism, sightseeing, family visits, or exchange programs without a visa, provided their stay does not exceed 30 days, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told a press conference today.
