FAB Paris

Rodin Art Center (Shanghai), as the exclusive strategic partner in China of Fine Arts Paris & La Biennale (FAB Paris), recently introduced FAB Paris to the Chinese media outlets for the first time.

As the only premier art fair in Paris, FAB Paris was established in 2022. It merged two prestigious French art fairs – La Biennale des Antiquaires, established in 1956, and Fine Arts Paris in 2017.

Ranging from paintings, sculptures, antiques, decorative arts to jewelry and furniture, FAB Paris has attracted elite collectors and art institutions from across the globe since its opening.

"We always keep a rigorous academic evaluation system, with a selection committee comprising over 60 veteran experts from around the world," Louis de Bayser, President of FAB Paris, told a press conference in Shanghai. "FAB Paris ensures every exhibited piece meets the highest artistic standard with collectible value."

This year, the 4th edition of FAB Paris will be held at the Grand Palais from September 20 to 24.

FAB Paris draws participation from the world's most prestigious collectors and art institutions, with each edition graced by the personal attendance of the French President at the opening ceremony. The photo shows French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Briggite (second left).

Acclaimed French designer Constance Guisset has been invited as scenographer for the fair. Famed for her dynamic interplay of light and bold use of color, Guisset will transform this Art Nouveau architectural masterpiece into a visual spectacle where tradition and modernity collide.

"Art collecting requires not only connoisseurship, but also a professional and reputable platform such as FAB Paris," said Wu Jing, founder of Rodin Art Center (Shanghai). "I myself have good experience buying artworks at FAB Paris."

In the future, Rodin Art Center (Shanghai) and FAB Paris will work together to introduce more high-quality international art resources to the Chinese market.

"The Chinese art market is ready for FAB Paris, and Shanghai will be a preferred destination for FAB Paris in Asia," she added.
