'She and Her Jewels' is a tribute to Vivienne Westwood's avant-garde legacy

The "She and Her Jewels" exhibition at Shanghai's Taikoo Li Qiantan honors the revolutionary legacy of Vivienne Westwood.

The first stop in Asia of its global tour, it examines how jewelry has defined her avant-garde interpretations since the 1970s.

English fashion designer and businesswoman Westwood was one of Britain's most influential artists. A 1970s punk fashion pioneer, she has said: "I was messianic about punk, seeing if one could put a spoke in the system in some way."

This exhibition showcases how her work has brought modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream.

The eight immersive zones showcase Westwood's evolution through rare vintage pieces, legendary runway jewelry, historical papers and multimedia exhibits.

The exhibition takes visitors on a sensory journey, revealing the role of jewelry in developing punk aesthetics and modern fashion narratives, from early handcrafted Portobello Market accessories to bold 1980s runway declarations.

Visitors can enjoy pop-up experiences: A limited-time café and store sell exclusive products such as scarves and T-shirts, and a photo booth featuring Westwood's orb emblem welcomes fun photographs.
