The 2025 annual exhibition at 118 Art House, titled "Li Naihan: Play and Objects," has kicked off.
This exhibition features 21 works, highlighting several of the artist's iconic series from recent years, including "I Am a Monument – CCTV," which is part of the collections at M+ and the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
Making its debut is a new collaborative series with 118 Art House named "Lacquer dynamic sculptures," which blends yunjin, or traditional Yun brocade, digital programming and lacquer craft.

Li Naihan is one of the most distinctive and culturally significant modern artists. She graduated from the University of London and teaches part time at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts City Design School. Her work combines traditional Chinese craftsmanship with contemporary design, encompassing architecture, art installations, utilitarian art objects and digital art.
Li infuses traditional crafts with a playful attitude, exploring how materials like woodworking, lacquer and yunjin transcend their individual merits and become lively beings within contemporary art.
