Design leaders to congregate in Shanghai

Design leaders from around the world will convene in Shanghai on June 27 for the sub-forum of the 2025 World Industrial Design Day (WIDD).

Themed "Ethical Design: A Luxury or a Necessity?", the forum is organized by the Design Innovation Institute Shanghai (DIIS) and supported by the World Design Organization (WDO) to explore the growing role of design in shaping a better future.

Initiated by Srini Srinivasan, former WDO president and current chief operating officer of DIIS, the forum will bring together WDO board members, internationally renowned scholars, and senior executives from multinational corporations. Discussions will delve into key themes such as climate-friendly design, design equity, and the power of youth-driven innovation.
