The 3rd Shanghai Eco-Friendly Art Festival opens at the West Bund Orbit.
The 3rd Shanghai Eco-Friendly Art Festival commenced on Friday at the West Bund Orbit in Xuhui District, taking guests on a journey through an ecological dream that seamlessly blends past and future, art and technology.
The event comprises large-scale installation art, intangible cultural heritage, trendy art, crafts, interactive games, and recycling exhibitions.
The opening ceremony featured a magnificent robot environmental conservation show combining intangible cultural heritage, cutting-edge technology, and Olympic fever.
The "Wildlife Photography Exhibition" by Xiao Ge, director of the China Photographers Association, captures heartwarming moments of wild animals.
International interdisciplinary artist Yuan Long's "Future Emotional Oasis" uses the "ecological floating island" concept to help people regain their emotional anchor, while painter Chen Haodi's "Dream Dwelling in Shanghai" explores Shanghai's urbanization process's return to nature through graffiti art and haipai (Shanghai-style) culture.
Butterfly groups symbolize biodiversity in balloon artist Sun Jie's large-scale installation "Butterfly."
The eco artwork "Eastern Stork's Dawn Chant·Warp-Weft Co-Life," inspired by the migratory plight of the Oriental White Stork (known as the "Giant Panda of Birds") and rooted in the ancient Chinese cosmology of "Round Heaven, Square Earth," tells a story of ecology, restoration and the future.

Plant-dyed waste fabrics and porcelain shards symbolize the fragility of the ecosystem. Shanghai-style crochet knotting and haipai braiding represent humanity's healing in the "Warp Weft of Life."
In the interactive handicraft area, Li Haitao, inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of bamboo plaiting, Wang Haiyu, a Song Dynasty aesthetic photographer, and Liu Yucheng, inheritor of yaoban (blue-and-white) cloth, demonstrate "following the way of nature."
The display includes 3D printed bird sculptures and a VR sewage treatment experience.
