The exhibition's title, which refers to the late-autumn, early-winter period in the lunar calendar when oranges turn yellow and tangerines remain green, is based on the poem "Dedicated to Liu Jingwen: Winter Scene" by Su Shi of the Song Dynasty (AD 960-1279), one of China's greatest poets and essayists who was also an accomplished calligrapher.

"You must remember the brightest scenes of the year. It occurs when oranges are orange and tangerines are green," the poet wrote to encourage a friend.
