Pudong hosts weekend pop-up market themed on Paris Museum exhibition

A weekend pop-up marketplace themed around the ongoing "Paths to Modernity: Masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay, Paris," the annual flagship international exhibition presented by the Museum of Art Pudong (MAP), will be held on September 6-7 and September 13-14 at the New Bund Red Lane commercial complex in the Pudong New Area.

The MAP x New Bund Red Lane joint event, or "The Great Artists Festival," will bring together more than 90 brands covering cultural and creative products, interactive art installations, as well as gourmet food outlets, inviting all to have a leisure time filled with artistic vibe.

A highlight of the event will be the Instagrammable installations inspired by the Musée d'Orsay masterpieces from Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Jean-François Millet, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Édouard Manet, Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Pierre Bonnard, Paul Signac and other greats.

Visitors will be able to take photos with the world-famous scenes depicted in the Orsay masterpieces, such as Van Gogh's bedroom, stacks of wheat, sunflowers, etc, immersing themselves in the seamless interplay of art, nature, and urban life.

Meanwhile, various activities, such as on-the-spot sketching, 3D felting, hands-on pottery, rainbow hair-braiding, and comic-style photo stickers, along with fun games and band performances, among others, will also be available at the event to offer visitors a fun-filled experience.

Besides art fans, shopping and gourmet lovers should also not miss the event as there will be more than 50 lifestyle brands and over 25 F&B outlets gathering for the weekend marketplace.
