November 6, 2025

The 8th China International Import Expo saw its first significant influx of visitors on Thursday. By 10am, over 31,000 passengers had exited the National Exhibition and Convention Center Station on Metro Line 2, marking a 10 percent increase year on year.

During the CIIE, the peak period for morning exits at the station is from 9am to 11am, while the peak for evening entries occurs between 4pm and 6pm.

The maximum expected hourly passenger flow is projected to reach 20,000.

To ensure smooth passenger flow, Metro police have modified the entry and exit arrangements at the station for the duration of the expo.

Morning arrival hours:

• Exits 4, 5 and 8: exit only

• Exit 9: entry only

• Exit 6: both entry and exit

Afternoon departure hours:

• Exits 4, 5, and 9: entry only

• Exit 8: exit only

• Exit 6: both entry and exit
