Shanghai's Putuo district is gearing up for the upcoming 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from Nov 5 to 10.
This year, 33 companies from Putuo district will participate in the expo, surpassing last year's numbers.
These companies will be featured across five major exhibition areas - medical equipment and healthcare, technology and equipment, consumer goods, agricultural products, and service trade, as well as in the national pavilion and innovation incubation zone.
Over 10 procurement signing events will be held, with the district authorities facilitating precise supply-demand matchmaking to boost on-site transactions.
Putuo, in collaboration with Deloitte China, will compile a white paper on foreign investment environment along the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt, highlighting the district's favorable business environment as well as the collaborative innovation taking place among the eight cities in East China's Jiangsu province and Putuo district, all of which are involved in the innovation belt.

Eleven officials from Putuo have been appointed as business and foreign affairs liaison officers, serving as "ambassadors" to provide detailed services to participating enterprises.
During the CIIE, Putuo will implement a "CIIE + regional development" dual strategy, launching a series of high-level activities to maximize the benefits of openness.
A delegation of industrial entrepreneurs from Germany will explore markets, investment policies, and cooperation opportunities in Putuo, visiting areas like Taopu Smart City to discuss potential investment collaborations.
