Hey, mates, pack your bags and polish off your "Ni Haos:" starting Beijing time on November 30, 2024, Australians holding regular passports can enjoy a longer visa-free romp in China. No more awkward visa runs or nail-biting at embassies – just up to 30 glorious days of business deals, sightseeing, family reunions, transit adventures, or cultural exchanges. Yep, that's right, no visa fees.

The policy, announced by China's embassy in Australia today, will run until December 31, 2025. If you're in the middle of applying for a short-term visa before November 30, sorry, those fees still apply. But beyond that? It's open season for all your dumpling-devouring, hotpot-slurping, temple-hopping dreams.

Finally, a bit of good news for ties between the two nations – sounds like a perfect time for a holiday.
