Passengers at Jinghong Road Station will be able to transfer between the Airport Link Line and Metro Line 15 via a new underground passage with no need to go outside from July 5.

This makes Jinghong Road the second station, after Zhongchun Road, where passengers can switch between Metro and airport lines using one ticket.

The new passage includes a 50-meter moving walkway, as well as 11 escalators and elevators to assist those carrying luggage or with limited mobility.

Some journeys may now offer two route options: one with the faster Airport Link Line included, and the other via Metro lines only. Travel times and fares may differ, so passengers should choose accordingly.

Fare systems remain unchanged

  • Metro: 3 yuan for the first 6 km, then 1 yuan for every 10 km.
  • Airport Link: Starts at 4 yuan, charged at 0.45 yuan/km, rounded down to the nearest yuan.

For journeys involving both systems, the ticketing system will automatically select the route based on travel time.

Ticket machines will now display both routing options when applicable. Passengers must select their preferred route before purchasing.

Exit 3 at Jinghong Road Station (Line 15) will be temporarily closed during this period.
