Flower Market Returns to Downtown for Labor Day Holiday

Shanghai will host a flower and lifestyle fair in downtown from April 30.

The Sinan Mansions and Fuxing Park will become a center for rare flora and traditional crafts for the "Sinan Fuxing Naturelife" event.

The market features 50 species of herbs and the launch of a new caladium variety called "Flame." It serves as a primary venue for the 2026 Shanghai International Flower Festival in the Huangpu District.

The five-day event during the May Day holiday links historic architecture with public parks to boost local tourism and holiday spending. It offers a blend of eco-friendly designs from Shanghai studios and intangible cultural heritage from Yunnan Province in southwest China.

Boutique hydrangeas, orchids, and carnations can be found in Fuxing Park. Handmade items and artistic lifestyle brands are the main focus of the Sinan Mansions segment.
