Nanjing Road West to Host Tech, Music and Culture Festival During Holiday
Nanjing Road W. will host the 2026 NSW International Technology, Culture and Lifestyle Week during the National Day holiday.
The 10-day event features various activities along the road, such as an AI-themed market, Sunset Sound Live, Music Bus, live podcast talks, light-and-shadow graffiti, and a domino sound-and-light installation.
The "AI Market" on Yongyuan Road features over 20 tech and internet companies, including Unitree Robotics, Tencent WorkBuddy, Tencent Music, Morror Art, and Xbot.
The market provides hands-on experiences that link AI to everyday life, rather than just showcasing new technologies. Visitors can explore AI music creation, use AI office applications, and enjoy robot-prepared coffee, along with other interactive activities.
The market offers a street space for visitors to explore emerging technologies in the Yongyuan Road neighborhood.
Pop-up music performances also add a lively touch to the streets along Nanjing Road W.
Sunset Sound Live features a range of musical styles, including popular songs, Chinese-style music, rap and folk performances. Visitors can enjoy the music as they wander around the surrounding streets and commercial areas.
A "Music Bus" will also operate along Nanjing Road W., linking major commercial areas like Yongyuan Road, Jing'an Park, and Wujiang Road with city landmarks.
The bus will host an interactive music session by the Yongyuan Road entrance every afternoon. Visitors can join in song quizzes and lyric challenges, with chances to earn limited-edition souvenirs.
The bus will arrive in Jing'an Park every day and transform into a mobile music stage. It will join the "Shining Shanghai" Jing'an light and shadow activities, combining music performances with evening light displays.
Visitors can enjoy a blend of music and the city's night scenery in the gentle breeze.
