Putuo Gets Ready For Special Anime New Year Gathering

A special New Year gathering for the anime community is running in Shanghai's downtown Putuo District. Xiaohongshu (RedNote)'s ACGN Chinese Fair runs through February 1 at Push Art Center, combining classic temple fair traditions with immersive ACG experiences and fan-driven interactions.

Built around the idea of giving anime fans a genuine Chinese New Year experience, the animation, comic, game and novel fair blends classic Chinese fair customs with fandom creativity. Across five themed zones, visitors can enjoy hands-on New Year activities, interactive performances, character styling experiences, and a lively fan market featuring popular IPs such as Love and Deepspace and Genshin Impact. Many of the activities were co-created through online voting, turning fan wishes into real-life experiences.

Set within Putuo's dynamic waterfront cultural district, the event brings together anime lovers from across the city for a festive, social, and highly immersive start to the holiday season.
