Rainbow Chamber to Perform at Art To Gather by Xintiandi

Shanghai's streets will soon buzz with the return of Art To Gather Xintiandi.

Starting September 19, Shanghai Xintiandi and Ruihong Xintiandi shopping centers will celebrate for a month, bringing art from theatres into everyday spaces.

The Shanghai Rainbow Chamber Singers will perform "Bring Places to Life," incorporating city moments such as skylines and coffee shop encounters into choral storytelling.

International acts will introduce new dimensions, such as France's Gratte Ciel with Horizon, a striking aerial performance in crimson, and roaming theater pieces that transform plazas into stages and spontaneous encounters into art.

The festival will highlight local voices, showcasing works by young Chinese creators in collaboration with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, and features campus theatre partnerships that bring art to the community.

Xintiandi features cafés and restaurants with themed menus and outdoor dining, complemented by live opera and theater, creating a convergence of culture, cuisine and daily life.
