[See & Be Seen] Dragon Boat Festival Activity Brings Qingpu CNS Community Together

The Lidoway·City News Service (CNS) Community Hub in Xujing Town, Qingpu District, welcomed residents, families from multinational companies, and international school communities for a Dragon Boat Festival-themed cultural gathering during the weekend.

The afternoon wasn't framed as a lecture or a performance – instead, it unfolded as a shared community experience, bringing people together through food, craft, and conversation.

Guests were introduced to the origins and meaning of the Dragon Boat Festival, exploring how its traditions have evolved while staying closely tied to seasonal customs and cultural memory.

Participants made wormwood bouquets, wrote traditional blessing phrases to take home, and learned how to wrap zongzi – sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves – guided step by step by local instructors.

When the Lidoway·CNS Community first opened in Xujing Town, it set out with a simple idea: create a space where an entire afternoon (and evening) could naturally take shape through meaningful activities, rather than just passing time.
