Shopping Festival Featuring Goods From Lu'an Kicks Off
Official speeches, songs and ritualized teamaking ushered in a shopping festival today in Shanghai featuring goods from Lu'an, neighboring Anhui Province.
Lasting three days, the exhibition-cum-marketing event, held at the Shanghai Agricultural Exhibition Center on Hongqiao Road, has attracted 89 high-quality domestic enterprises, with exhibits covering West Anhui white geese, tea and camellia oil, wedding dresses, and toddler beds.
Lying in west Anhui and north of the Dabie Mountains, which traverses across parts of Anhui, Hubei, and Henan provinces, Lu'an boasts rich tourist resources. This was evident from the booths touting tourism, including prime real estate boasting health benefits for those opting to stay there. The city was also home to the Chinese Red Army, with many well-known generals residing there, making it an ideal destination for red tourism.
The mountain terrains also make the region a producer of some of the best-known tea in the country, including Lu'an Guapian and Huoshan Huangya.
In addition to the on-site shopping, livestreaming shopping channels also enable consumers in Shanghai to have Lu'an products delivered right to their home.
