Sinan Mansions Hosts Farm Market, Live Music And Games
Sinan Mansions hosts the Bubble Chill Wave Week over the weekend, combining a seasonal farm market with live music, art and outdoor games in the century-old complex.
The market features more than 30 suburban Shanghai farms selling direct to shoppers.
Highlights include Nanhui honey peaches and Nanhui 8424 watermelons from the Pudong New Area and award-winning grapes from suburban Jiading District. Visitors can sample multiple local varieties side by side.
Three outdoor stages will host more than 30 performances over the weekend. International performers include flamenco dancers Hilary and Leo from Fushion Art and multilingual singer Valentina. Styles range from jazz and Latin to funk and vinyl sets.
The "Daju Meow Meow House" game zone offers three free games – a shuffleboard-style fruit pit toss, ring toss, and watermelon bowling. Players who complete all three games collect stickers and can redeem them for a mystery gift.
A summer flower pop-up store runs through July 10 at Sinan Wutong Square next to Sinan Bookstore, featuring lotus flowers, water lilies and ginger lilies.
A TCM herb sachet workshop also runs during the event, led by pharmacists from Xiangshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The oil painting exhibition "15° Perspective: Shanghai Traces" by artist Xia Shuliang continues at Sinan Time Gallery on Fuxing Road M. during the event period.
All market and exhibition areas are free to the public.
