Taste the Flavors of the Americas Under the Night Sky
The Shanghai Museum's exhibition, "On Top of the World Tree: Ancient Civilizations of the Americas," continues to draw visitors, showcasing the cultural richness of the Americas in Shanghai.
The Meet World Tree food night market will take place from August 18 to 22 and August 25 to 29, operating each evening from 6pm to 10pm at the outdoor plaza adjacent to the Shanghai Museum on People's Square.
The initial iteration, scheduled from August 18 to 22, will feature street food inspired by Central and South American cuisine like tacos, cactus juice, and barbecue, freshly prepared on food carts.
From August 25 to 29, the spotlight will shift to corn, a staple crop at the heart of ancient American civilizations, with a lineup of corn-based dishes, light bites, and drinks.
Visitors can also join three interactive games, including a fun cornhusking competition, and put their corn skills to the test.
