Authentic products from the foot of Mount Everest are now available at a four-day riverside market along the Xuhui West Bund.

The second "Everest-Affection" Consumer Carnival brings a taste of the Tibet Autonomous Region to downtown Shanghai, featuring items from Xigaze, Sa'gya, and Gyangze.

More than 40 exhibition booths line the Huangpu River waterfront, divided into four specialty zones for plateau food, intangible cultural heritage, digital experiences, and food tasting.

Food lovers can explore unique regional flavors at the food zones. Highlights include healthy snacks like highland barley butterfly crackers, crispy barley cakes, and specialized barley Zongzi.

Visitors can also sample and buy premium dried yak meat, wild mushroom products, Sherpa finger millet flour, and Nepalese tea.

For drinks, vendors are selling 100 percent natural mountain spring water, sugar-free herbal teas, and organic seabuckthorn fruit juices.

The cultural section showcases traditional Tibetan craftsmanship. Artisans demonstrate ancient skills, and visitors can buy authentic Thangka paintings, hand-woven cashmere scarves from Sa'gya, and traditional Tibetan incense. Tibetan clothing and unique handmade ethnic jewelry are also on sale.

A special beverage section features Tibetan craft beer paired with local plateau snacks. Nearby, AI-powered robots dressed in traditional Tibetan costumes mingle with the crowd, offering a high-tech photo opportunity that blends ethnic culture with modern technology.

Sports fans can visit a dedicated soccer-themed zone at the market. A giant outdoor screen broadcasts live soccer matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, allowing visitors to watch games while relaxing with traditional Tibetan drinks in an open-air setting.

For those who want to buy more later, organizers launched an official WeChat mini-program and an e-commerce platform (zfsq.net) during the event.

A new logistics warehouse in the Hongqiao area ensures that these Tibetan goods can be ordered online and delivered to homes in Shanghai within 48 hours.
