Shanghai Hosts SKorean Artist Cho's First Major Solo Show in Asia
This fall, Fotografiska Shanghai presents "The Coexistence of Imperfection," the first major solo exhibition in Asia by Korean visual artist Cho Gi-Seok.
The exhibition, which opened on October 12 and will run through March 8 next year, features four of his defining series – "Flower Study," "Bad Dream," "Love & Hate" and "These Days" – each revealing imperfection as a source of tension, beauty and transformation.
Known for his vivid, symbol-rich visual language that bridges tradition and futurism, Cho creates dreamlike scenes where nature, technology and emotion collide.
His signature style – bold, saturated and deeply poetic – redefines modern Asian aesthetics, inviting audiences to find resonance in fragility and meaning within contradiction.
More than a visual experience, the exhibition becomes a meditation on harmony and vulnerability in an age of digital excess.
