30th Furniture China and 2025 Maison Shanghai showcase innovative home design trends
The growing adoption of smart home technology is not only making daily life more convenient but also enabling personalized home design for everyone. At the two major furniture fairs taking place in Shanghai this week, brand-new creative design trends centered around smart living are unveiled.
Marking its 30th anniversary, Furniture China occupies 350,000 square meters. With an increase of 30,000 square meters from the previous edition, it is being held across 50 halls at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. More than 3,200 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions are taking part.
While Furniture China focuses on manufacturing and business matchmaking, Maison Shanghai leads with design and trend-focused exhibits at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. Under the theme "Design & Possibilities," it serves as a central hub for forecasting trends, fostering innovation, and facilitating international business connections.
Special zones highlight smart home tech, sustainable materials like bamboo, digital supply chains, 3D printing, and green design.
As a highlight, the 1,000-square-meter special exhibition in Hall H3 at the World Expo Center stands out as the largest-ever showcase of bamboo material innovation.
Over 20 renowned designers present over 50 original design works that redefine the creative and functional boundaries of bamboo.
XU's "Bamboo Creates Everything" exhibition explores groundbreaking uses of bamboo in unexpected domains – from automotive interiors to travel accessories. The display also highlights the collaboration with chemical giant BASF, incorporating advanced material technologies that respond to the global demand for sustainable and transparent supply chains.
