
Design Shanghai to Return to Exhibition Center in March
Asia's leading international design event, Design Shanghai, will return to the city next March.
Since its launch at the Shanghai Exhibition Center in 2014, the event has moved to the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
For its 13th edition, Design Shanghai will move back to its original venue from March 19 to 22, featuring enhanced quality, more diverse experiences and a greater international presence.
It will include over 500 brands from 20 countries and regions, displaying furniture, lighting, kitchen and bath, lifestyle and accessories, and new materials.
Brands include French luxury brand Roche Bobois, Bosnian artisanal maker Artisan Love Wood, Oriental lifestyle label SHANG XIA, Danish minimalist home brand VIPP and Italian building materials company Mapei.
Special projects such as TALENTS, Made in JDZ, Beyond Craft, Collectible Design & Art and Materials First will run alongside the KOHLER Design Shanghai Forum and CMF Conference, offering fresh inspiration for designers and enthusiasts.
From March 5 to 22, the "Design in the City" program will showcase designs in over 100 locations in Shanghai with over 20 interactive experiences, workshops and touring exhibitions.
Designers Tao Xin, Qian Jun, Wang Deyang, and Zhang Yaotian will lead district-based tours in Changning, Huangpu, Jing'an and Xuhui.
A city guide will also be released, mapping more than 100 cultural, commercial, and lifestyle spots and inviting the public to explore Shanghai's design scene in immersive, unexpected ways.
