Enjoy An Immersive Journey Through World Art History in Shanghai
The Shanghai Art Museum (China Art Museum) will launch The Bridgeman Artventure – An Immersive Journey Through World Art History on June 26.
Running through June 30, 2027, the exhibition, which redefines how audiences engage with the masterpieces of Western art, marks the first-ever China presentation by Bridgeman Images, the world's largest art copyright archive.
A playful journey through the world's greatest art, the Bridgeman Artventure is designed from the audience's perspective – focusing on how visitors feel, understand, and participate. Bringing together over 190 licensed high-definition masterpieces from the collections of the world's most prestigious institutions, including the Louvre, the British Museum, the Musée d'Orsay, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the exhibition offers a truly immersive aesthetic education experience for Chinese art lovers.
Visitors can step inside a "walkable art magazine," encountering iconic works such as Girl with a Pearl Earring and the Mona Lisa through playful, interactive installations that invite selfies, exploration, and multi-perspective engagement.
