To commemorate the 120th anniversary of Chinese cinema, Shanghai Film Group is presenting a film exhibition at the Shanghai Film Art Center.

Through December 18, a lineup of films spanning varied eras, styles and genres will be on display. Exhibited movies are presented across five thematic sections – restorations of classics, poetic cinema, opera films, new iconic works from the group and representatives of the Chinese School of Animation.

The exhibition weaves together historical depth and contemporary creativity. Among the classic feature films are famed director Zheng Junli's "Crow and Sparrow" (1949) and "Spring River Flows East" (1947), Xie Jin's "Big Li, Little Li and Old Li" (1962), Fei Mu's "Spring in a Small Town" (1948) and Wu Yigong's "My Memories of Old Beijing" (1983).
