Goldfish Theater: Immersive Art Experience Opens on the Bund
A stunning new cultural landmark has arrived on Shanghai's iconic Bund. The highly anticipated immersive art exhibition "Goldfish Theater" officially opened at the Bund Finance Center (BFC), offering visitors a mesmerizing fusion of ancient Chinese tradition and modern digital artistry.
More than just an aquarium, Goldfish Theater transforms the thousand-year-old traditional art of goldfish appreciation into an interactive, story-driven journey across 10 Eastern aesthetic scenes. The space houses over 3,000 goldfish of more than 100 varieties, showcasing the four classic Chinese goldfish lineages – Grass (Cao), Literary (Wen), Dragon (Long), and Egg (Dan) – in a single breathtaking display.
Through dynamic lighting and projection technology, guests can wander through flowing waterscapes and enjoy a moment of poetic tranquility amid the city's hustle and bustle.
Beyond its visual spectacle, the exhibition prioritizes animal welfare with a dedicated "Goldfish Sanatorium." A professional care team provides round-the-clock attention to every creature, encouraging visitors to combine aesthetic appreciation with scientific learning and respect for life.
