Jing'an Sculpture Park show promotes Sino-French artistic exchanges
An exhibition kicked off at the Art Center of Jing'an Sculpture Park in downtown Shanghai over the weekend to promote artistic exchanges between China and France.
The Le Charme de Jing'an 2025 Sino-French Art Exchange Exhibition features over 70 outstanding works, including traditional Chinese paintings, watercolors, and oil paintings, by artists from Shanghai and France.
This year marks the 61st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. The organizers stated that through the display and exchange of these artworks, they hope to promote in-depth dialogue and cooperation between the art communities of the two countries.
On one hand, the exhibition showcases the unique aesthetic concepts, creative techniques, and cultural connotations of both Chinese and French fine arts, helping people from the two countries to gain a better understanding of each other's culture. On the other, it provides a platform for Chinese and French artists to learn and draw inspiration from each other to explore new directions in artistic creation, and drive the innovative development of art in both countries through mutual interaction, according to the organizers, such as the Jing'an District Artists Association and the Artistes Méridionaux France.
To further expand Sino-French artistic and cultural exchanges, the Jing'an District Artists Association also invited Chinese and French artists to paint the unique scenery of Suzhou Creek on Saturday, experiencing the integration of history and modernity, as well as the harmonious coexistence of nature and art.
