Indonesian artist Ryo Laksamana, also known as RYOL, is hosting a solo exhibition with MINISO in Shanghai through the end of August.

Best known for his recognizable art works portraying large-eyed children with exaggerated head proportions, this exhibition, titled "Life from the Corner of My Room," is the artist's interpretation of his childhood imagination as he observes his world from the corner of his room.

Many of his works and style are inspired from Agnes Lawrence Pelton, a modernist painter involved in the era of the American modernist abstraction.

Many curious and interesting art pieces have been put on display; take this chance to revisit the vibrant imaginations of your childhood: the myriads of combinations and wonders that populated your sweet dreams under the starry nights.
