Tech Trends Highlighted as Global Fitness Brands Gather at IWF Shanghai

The 2026 Shanghai International Health Wellness Fitness Expo (IWF Shanghai) is now on at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, showcasing the diverse ecosystem and emerging trends in the sports and fitness industry.

Compared to the previous edition, the exhibition area has been expanded by over 30 percent, bringing together more than 1,000 domestic and international brands.

The exhibits cover a wide range of categories, including commercial fitness equipment, cross-border products, AI-powered smart fitness and rehabilitation solutions, nutrition and health products, as well as swimming pool equipment.

According to the organizers, the number of exhibitors in the cross-border product sector has increased by 58 percent compared to last year, demonstrating the competitiveness and appeal of Chinese sporting goods in the global market.

Highlights of this year's event include the AI Sports and Smart Fitness Zone, featuring smart technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) visual recognition workout systems and intelligent strength training equipment with customized settings.

During the exhibition, the venue is also hosting forums where industry elites and experts will engage in conversation on the technological development of intelligent sports and fitness.

The "Super Icon" Award Ceremony will bring together nearly 50 fitness influencers to share new trends and concepts in fitness. Additionally, visitors can participate in group exercise trial classes and interactive games.
