West Bund Carnival: An Urban Escape With Outdoor Recreation Vibes
The SIU FEST, an original mobility-themed urban carnival, and the 2026 OIDE Outdoor Innovation and Design Exhibition opened at Shanghai's West Bund yesterday, presenting a four-day outdoor lifestyle feast for nature, sports and outdoor enthusiasts.
Focusing on tech-integrated sports and trendy competitions centered on smart technology and diverse mobility devices, the SIU FEST gathers over 30 domestic and international brands, showcasing exoskeletons, embodied intelligent robots, e-bikes, electric vehicles, go karts, vintage cars, motorcycles, racing simulators, equestrian equipment, eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft and other smart mobility tools.
As West Bund's self-developed IP for emerging sports and mobility culture, the carnival brings together mobility devices of varied speeds, sizes, technological levels and application scenarios in an open public space, welcoming residents, families, youth groups, sports lovers and tech enthusiasts to participate in diversified ways.
Themed zones are designed around milestones of mobility development. Mobility exhibitors cover urban commuting, trendy riding, vintage vehicles and future aviation.
Lifestyle brands create a vibrant social and consumption atmosphere.
The carnival also features a circular market and the 2026 Shanghai Youth BMX Championships.
The 2026 OIDE Outdoor Innovation and Design Exhibition at the West Bund International Convention and Exhibition Center and the West Bund Dome is redefining the line between outdoor and city living, turning West Bund into a high-density laboratory for diverse, refined outdoor lifestyles.
Traditionally, outdoor recreation has been viewed as remote wilderness, hardcore gear challenges and rugged isolation from city life, but OIDE is rewriting that narrative: outdoor living is no longer a distant destination, but a state-of-the-mind switch within urban life itself.
