SOU·SOU brings a touch of Kyoto serenity to the Bund
This week, a touch of Kyoto calm will arrive on the Bund.
From October 23 to November 2, Fosun Foundation Shanghai will hold the Living Beauty by SOU·SOU exhibition, co-hosted by Fashhh. This is the Japanese lifestyle brand's first large-scale offline exhibition on the Chinese mainland.
SOU·SOU, founded in Kyoto with the notion of "beauty for everyday life," has captivated global audiences with its playful geometry, poetic simplicity, and reinterpretation of traditional craftsmanship. Now, Shanghai audiences are encouraged to enter a world of gentle rhythm and color, where patterns become language and craft becomes a way of life.
A multimodal experience unfolds on Fosun Foundation's third and fourth levels. Visitors can explore SOU·SOU's distinctive apparel, homeware, and collaboration works on the third floor, showcasing their signature blend of modern design and handmade craftsmanship.
The fourth floor becomes an interactive living area with pop-up businesses, limited-edition Kyoto sweets and sake, and hands-on creative activities that blend art, design and lifestyle.
The Shanghai show features "SOU·SOU × Xiangyunsha," a unique blend of traditional Guangdong silk-dyeing and SOU·SOU's bold, modern prints, a poetic fusion of two timeless crafts.
Visitors can experience the brand's mascot, DEPO Cat, in a digital installation by 1→10, Inc, makers of Kyoto's famous Nijo Castle light show. They embody SOU·SOU's whimsical character, highlighting beauty in movement, pattern, and daily rituals.
From the space's design to the fabric's aroma and sake's taste, the exhibition invites you to relearn how aesthetics can peacefully live with you every day.
