About SHMC

Philanthropist Lu Bohong funded Shanghai Mental Health Center as Mercy Hospital in 1935. It became the principal hospital of the National Center for Mental Disorders in 2022, a national pilot for standardizing mental health delivery systems, and set up the Brain Health Institute.
