The 12th Westbund Art & Design, a highlight of the 7th Shanghai International Artwork Trade Week, is set to open on Nov 13.
This year's edition spans five main venues across Xuhui's West Bund, covering a total exhibition area of 26,000 square meters. Across six dedicated sections, the fair will feature more than 6,000 artworks by leading artists, including Louise Bourgeois, Olafur Eliasson, and Nicolas Party.
Nearly 200 galleries from 48 cities across 22 countries and regions will participate, with 30 international galleries from Europe, Asia, and the Americas making their debut. Among them are Ark Kollekt, Studio Victor Miklos, and Haus of Hu.
Around 40 invited artists and collectives will present large-scale installations and live performances. The event will also spotlight recent projects from art institutions worldwide, offering visitors a global perspective on contemporary creativity.
A curated program of nearly 20 thought-provoking discussions will gather influential voices from the worlds of art, design, branding, and culture, fostering inspiring cross-disciplinary dialogue.
In collaboration with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, the fair will also host the Asian premiere of the dance performance Pendulum from Australia.
