Changning Hongqiao micro hub
Shanghai is opening its first batch of 15 micro transport hubs by the end of this month, improving transfers between metro lines, buses, taxis, ride-hailing services, and shared bikes.
Some of the hubs are already in operation, including locations in Changning District at Hongqiao and at the Shuicheng Road-Xianxia Road bus stop, as well as a site at Putuo District's Zhen'nan Road-Jiaotong Road. More hubs are planned across suburban areas.
At the Changning Hongqiao micro hub, a covered walkway links the metro station with nearby bus stops and taxi and ride-hailing pick-up points. Digital displays show real-time bus arrivals, while marked parking zones help organize bikes and e-scooters.
