Lufthansa Airlines is bringing the spirit of Oktoberfest to Shanghai this month. On September 20, the opening day of the Munich Oktoberfest, a Lufthansa crew dressed in traditional Bavarian "Trachten" costumes will arrive from Munich.

To celebrate Bavarian culture, Lufthansa will host an Oktoberfest night at Paulaner Bier House North Bund. The evening will feature a runway show where crew members will parade in traditional attire – women in elegant dirndls and men in classic Bavarian suits – recreating the festive atmosphere of Munich's famous beer festival.

For years, Lufthansa crews have worn traditional Bavarian dresses on many European and German routes departing from Munich during the Oktoberfest season, while ground staff at Munich Terminal 2 also greet passengers in the same attire.
