Firefighters were called after a man spotted a snake hiding behind his fish tank in China’s Guangdong Province recently.

They soon attended the scene and subdued the snake, which was a poisonous king cobra.

It turned out the man first spotted it about half a month ago but lost track of it after that.

Police warn that king cobras are national protected animals. Citizens should call the police right away after encountering them instead of trying to capture them.
