How to Get to the CIIE? A One-stop Travel Portal Is Now Live
On Wednesday, Shanghai's integrated intelligent transportation platform, Suishenxing, launched a "CIIE (China International Import Expo) Traffic Mobility Service Zone." This zone features Chinese and English route planning, shuttle bus services, parking reservations, venue navigation, and sightseeing benefits.
With the CIIE set to begin on November 5, attendees can reserve seats on any of the 11 complimentary CIIE bus routes to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) through Suishenxing's mobile app or WeChat mini-program. A CIIE pass is required to board the buses.
Additionally, there are four hotel shuttle services and a direct transportation link between Shanghai Pudong International Airport and the expo venue. The platform allows travelers to check schedules and purchase tickets.
Location access generates automatic routes for public transport users, or they can manually set departure points and venue entrances. The platform recommends metro-bus-walking combinations, estimates taxi and driving times, and works like a professional navigation app.
Upon arriving at the venue, visitors gain access to indoor and outdoor wayfinding tools, which mark entrances, exits, exhibition halls, and service points to streamline movement.
Parking requires a reservation. Users can book on the same day, securing a spot up to one hour before arrival.
A "Zero-Carbon Conference" section allows public transport users to convert low-carbon trips into redeemable credits, which can be used for metro and bus fare discounts during the expo period.
The service zone also highlights exclusive sightseeing offers for CIIE attendees:
- 11 city sightseeing double-decker bus routes across major downtown landmarks, free from November 5 to 10;
- Discounted Huangpu River Cruise tickets from October 26 to November 25;
- Free Qingpu Micro Holiday shuttle routes to Zhujiajiao Water Town and Panlong Xintiandi from November 5 to 10;
- Free admission to the China Maritime Museum with a reservation from November 1 to 30.
The service zone will remain operational through November 10, with real-time updates on any changes to transport routes or venue access points.
