Live your West Bund dream with summer beats and films

The riverside stretch of Gate M in Shanghai will come alive with an 800-meter-long celebration of sound and cinema this month.

For ten days straight, Gate M will host a summer-exclusive waterfront music and film festival, turning the West Bund into a dynamic open-air stage.

Three limited-time stages – the Waterfront Stage, Dock Stage and Paw Stage – will feature non-stop summer performances. In collaboration with legendary music brand JZ Club, the lineup includes specially curated live shows, along with screenings of timeless film classics.

The three stages are set to launch:

1. Waterfront Stage | 水岸剧场

Located on the plaza beside the West Bund Grand Theater, this stage will become the heart of music as sunlight dances across the river. Waves of sound from diverse genres will ripple along the water.

2. Dock Stage | 船坞剧场

Once a working dock with over a century of history, this unique riverside venue is now one of Gate M's most iconic performance spaces. Here, the steps become seats, and the breeze off the (Huangpu) River blends naturally with the music.

3. Paw Stage | 毛茸茸剧场

Situated in front of the small silo in the southern zone, this stage welcomes both you and your furry companions.

There are no rules about sitting still here – only wide-open lawns where pets can run free. With easygoing live music at sunset and soul-stirring films under the stars, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a summer's night with your four-legged friend.
