Summer camp gives future medics a glimpse of hospital life
A medical summer camp at Shanghai's Ruijin Hospital gave 60 high school and university students a chance to interact with doctors, check out operation rooms, wards, and training facilities.
Many of them are medical students, have family members with medical backgrounds, or want to study medicine.
Doctors' expertise, cutting-edge technology such as 3D-printing organ models, suturing and ultrasound practice, and first aid skills have left a lasting impression on the students.
Ruijin Hospital president Dr Ning Guang said the camp encourages young people to explore and uncover their true passion and vocation.
Hospital staff painstakingly organized the organ transplant-themed event. Students listened to six top specialists share their experience and talk about the future of organ transplantation.
