A two-year-old girl who went missing for three days in the mountains of Qianjiang District of Chongqing, has been found safe in a deep gully on the afternoon of November 21.

Local police confirmed on November 22 that she had mild hypothermia but no life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated at Qianjiang District Central Hospital.

Referred to as Yaoyao, the little girl disappeared around midday on November 19 while accompanying her grandfather as he grazed livestock in Shijia Town's Qingtang Village.

After receiving the report, local police joined forces with emergency responders, firefighters, medical teams, and volunteers to quickly set up an on-site command center.

As nighttime temperatures dropped and visibility worsened, rescuers deployed drones equipped with thermal imaging and nine search dogs to help comb the area. Technicians also reviewed the surveillance videos to ensure the child had not been taken out of the mountainous area.

At 4:05pm on November 21, rescuers spotted Yaoyao in a gully about an hour's walk from where she had disappeared. She was weak and had minor scratches on her face and body but remained conscious. She was carried out and taken directly to the hospital.
