October 21, 2020

Automobile exhibitors will display their latest vehicles and technologies during the third China International Import Expo next month.

The focus of the automobile exhibition area will be on new-energy vehicles.

This year, the exhibition area will add a smart mobility exhibition area, which will display autonomous driving, intelligent and connected vehicles, smart cockpits, vehicle-road coordination, control systems and core sensors.

The 30,000-square-meter exhibition area will feature manufacturers, parts makers and service companies. Some 30 new products and technologies will be on display for the first time.

Car manufacturers such as Volkswagen, General Motors, Hyundai, Ford Motor, Jaguar Land Rover and Tesla will show their latest lineups. Auto parts makers such as Michelin, Bosch and Webasto will also unveil their latest offerings.

French tire manufacturer Michelin will make its CIIE debut with new sustainable products, technologies and solutions.

Michelin regard the CIIE as an important platform for international companies, enabling it to establish closer connections with China. The connections made will enable Michelin to enhance its business and achieve common development with Chinese society, market and people, it said.

German auto parts maker Bosch will show its latest generation of sensor product portfolios, which supports vehicles in realizing perception of the surrounding environment. The company will also display hardware and software products in the field of intelligence and connectivity.

Pony.ai, an autonomous driving startup founded in 2016, will show software and hardware integrated technology solutions for autonomous vehicles. Founded in Fremont, California, the company pioneered autonomous mobility deployment by operating robotaxi services in the US and China.
