Conference speeds Intelligent Connected Vehicles industry

The 2020 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference has been held at Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center in Jiading focusing on industrial innovation, ecological construction, policies and regulations, intelligent transport and the intelligent connected vehicle industry.

Its aim was to promote integrated development of automobiles, electronics, software and the communication and transport industries and accelerate the development of ICV.

The exhibition center inaugurated a China-Germany promotion and application center for ICVs. The two countries will collaborate in policies and regulations, mutual recognition, data exchanges and industrial incubation.

A strategic cooperation was reached by the National Intelligent Connected Vehicles Innovation Center, Shanghai Intelligent Connected Vehicles Manufacturing Innovation Center and Jiading government during the conference to improve the core competitiveness of China’s ICV industry, accelerate the formation of an open, integrated and innovative ecosystem and realize overall global breakthroughs in automobiles, communication, the Internet and other industries.

Shanghai’s 10 major application scenarios for the ICV industry will accelerate the transformation of the technology innovation achievements of ICV and support the implementation of major projects.

Among them, Jiading plans to open the ICV road testing in the whole district. Before the end of this year, such test will be launched in Anting Town, Automobile New Energy Port, Jiading New City and Jiading Industrial Zone.

A total of 3,000 5G base stations will be built to support roads for testing ICV, which will be extended to nearly 1,300 kilometers in the district, covering an area of 464 square kilometers.

The national innovation center for strategic cooperation was launched during the conference to promote data aggregation and automatic driving industry development.
